About Select Electrics
Established in 1997, Select Electrics provides integrated electrical, fibre optic and CCTV solutions for public-sector and private clients across Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Somerset and the wider South West. Whether small works or multi-site rollouts, we design, install and maintain systems that keep people connected, protected and compliant.
Our Story
What started in 1997 as a small Bristol-based team with a focus on electrical installation and maintenance has become a select team with an integrated focus across power, data and security. Meeting the needs of those first local businesses and local councils quickly taught us the importance of tidy workmanship, clear communication and comprehensive documentation, principles that still underpin every project.
Responding to the evolving needs of those early clients, Select Electrics has gradually added capabilities that bring power, communications and security solutions under one supplier: first data cabling, then fibre optics and CCTV systems. Investments in equipment and expertise over the past 20 years has also enabled us to deliver increasingly across the full process in-house. Engineers are multi-skilled across our disciplines, our apprenticeships turn contractors into career-long specialists, and our project managers handle drawings, method statements and permits to keep sites safe and programmes on time.
Processes are quality managed (including ISO 9001), and a range of industry approvals are maintained to keep work compliant without affecting delivery time. Today Select Electrics can support public- and private-sector clients across Bristol, Bath and the wider South West, from street lighting columns and public-realm CCTV, to campus fibre backbones and commercial refurbishments.
We have the skills and resources to manage the full project lifecycle for power, communications and security systems: from survey to design, through installation and testing, on to certification and maintenance, so that you have one accountable team for every stage from first visit to final handover.
